Ruth Ann Castro, Senior Legal Counsel, Legal Department, Google  

Ruth Ann Castro is a Senior Corporate Counsel in Google’s Legal Department. She provides environmental, health, and safety compliance and transactional support for the infrastructure teams that acquire, design, build, and operate the data centers and server equipment that power Google’s services and applications around the globe. She also works with the energy teams to advance the company’s carbon neutral goal by securing renewable energy that greens the grid powering Google datacenters. Prior to Google, Ruth Ann served as Special Counsel to the Environmental Group at Farella Braun + Martel LLP. Prior to that, she was an attorney at Fenwick & West LLP and clerked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX. Ruth Ann received a Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Berkeley, and her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Tulane Law School.
